David Haverbeke | Partner

David is a partner in the Real Estate, Environment & Regulatory practice, where he heads the Energy practice. 

David advises international and Belgian clients active in the energy sector (electricity, gas, oil) on their energy contracts, transactions, legislation and regulations. He also provides strategic advice on and assistance with permit applications and renewals. David contributed to the drafting of federal and regional Belgian legislation in the area of energy and has had similar experience in other jurisdictions. He handles many cases of commercial litigation, arbitration and proceedings before administrative tribunals relating to his Energy practice.

He graduated in 1997 with a law degree from the Catholic University of Leuven (KUL). He also obtained a Masters in European Law from the Free University of Brussels (ULB) and a Finance Certificate from the London School of Economics. David was admitted to the Brussels bar in 1998.
