Nowadays, IT is critical to the operation of every business. IT drives efficiency by breaking down communication barriers, both internally and externally. Today's businesses have a high demand for skilled IT staff and 24/7/365 IT coverage. A big driver of this demand is the shift of data storage, collaboration tools, networking services, and other applications to the cloud. With so much information and access now available through the cloud, businesses can work much more efficiently across multiple locations.

IT contracts are notoriously difficult to draft. Many businesses fail to identify and appropriately address the issues that arise in their IT contracts and fail to adequately protect their organisation, thereby placing their assets and data at risk. This can expose the business to unnecessary liability and lead to uncontrolled costs. The result is that businesses assume far greater risk and liability associated with these projects and end up spending far more time and money on them than is necessary.

During this lunch seminar, we will explain the basics of IT contracting, provide guidance on how to structure an IT contract and the related negotiations and provide you with practical tips and tricks on how to negotiate some of the most common IT contracts (Software Licence Agreement, Maintenance and Support Agreement, Cloud Agreements, IT Service Agreements) and IT contractual documents (Statement of Work, Service Level Agreement, Source Code Escrow Agreement).

The seminar will take place on 7 November 2017 and will be held in Dutch and French. The presentation will be available in English.

You can register for free online until 31 October 2017.
