Your profile
- You have at least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent level in a financial field (e.g. Accountancy & Taxation) and are ready for the next step in your career.
- Relevant experience in a similar role is definitely a plus.
- You have a solid understanding of accounting principles, with a particular interest in accounts receivable.
- You combine strong communication skills with a client-focused yet assertive attitude.
- You work accurately and independently, and remain calm under pressure or during peak periods.
- You are fluent in Dutch or French, have a good command of the other national language, and an excellent knowledge of English.
Your responsibilities
- You closely monitor outstanding customer invoices and ensure that payment reminders are sent on time.
- In both written and telephone contact with our internal clients (lawyers), you provide clear and client-focused support.
- You collaborate actively with colleagues and help think through efficient solutions for outstanding items.
- You prepare weekly and monthly reports on the status of payments and the collection actions undertaken.
- You are able to identify payment risks in a timely manner and offer targeted advice on appropriate credit limits. If necessary, you involve external collection agencies and follow up on this process thoroughly.
- In time, you’re willing to take on additional tasks within the accounting team, for example by acting as a back-up for colleagues.
