Lydian advised Minitab on the acquisition of Effex

We are pleased to have assisted Minitab, a global leader in data collection, predictive analytics, and process improvement solutions, in its acquisition of Effex, a Leuven-based technology company specialised in modern Design of Experiments (DoE). Since 2023, Effex was co-founded and led by Belgian tech entrepreneur Dewi Van De Vyver.

With this transaction, Minitab further strengthens its capabilities by integrating Effex’s proprietary design catalog and AI technology, reinforcing its position at the forefront of data-driven experimentation and process optimisation. Two of Effex’s original founders, José Núñez Arès and KUL professor Peter Goos, will remain on board, ensuring continuity and supporting the next phase of innovation.

We are excited to see the future collaboration between Minitab and Effex and wish to congratulate all parties involved on this milestone.
