Lydian Insurance Academy: Seminar & Networking BBQ

Sandra Lodewijckx and Hugo Keulers, together with the Lydian Insurance Team, are organising the first edition of Lydian’s Summer Insurance Academy on Monday 23 June at our Brussels office.

Join us for an interactive afternoon on the new Belgian Civil Code (Book 5 (law of obligations) and Book 6 (non-contractual liability), the recently approved draft law on Book 9 Title 1 (personal securities), and the pending proposal for Book 7 (specific contracts)). Its impact on the insurance sector, what’s already in force, what’s on the horizon, and the implications for insurers, with a focus on case law including the case before the EU’s Court of Justice handling the question whether a managing director can be held liable for the companies’ antitrust fines and the possible impact on the D&O insurance.

We’ll wrap up with a networking BBQ, offering a relaxed setting to connect with peers from the insurance and legal sectors.

🕒 15:00 – Welcome drinks
🕒 15:30 – Legal Insights from the Lydian Insurance Team on the impact of the new Civil Code and recent developments in liability law update & discussion
🕔 17:00 – BBQ & networking

Sessions in Dutch and French | Exclusively for clients of our firm.
