Lydian appoints two new Partners as of 1 January 2026

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Eveline Ankaert and Lore Derdeyn as Partners at Lydian, effective 1 January 2026.
 
Eveline is a member of our Employment, Pensions & Benefits practice and has built a strong reputation in employment law, with particular expertise in health-related matters and well-being at work, including return to work of incapacitated workers, toxic leadership, workplace integrity, harassment, discrimination and work accidents. She has been consistently recognised as a Rising Star in employment law by The Legal 500 and is described by clients as an “intelligent and hands-on lawyer” who “provides high-quality advice and creates a relationship of trust that is essential for a strong legal business partner”. Eveline is also a member of the Institute for Labour Law at the KU Leuven, where she gives seminars and pleading sessions on employment law and coaches master students with their thesis.
 
Lore heads the Public and Administrative Law practice and is part of our Real Estate, Environment & Public team. Lore’s expertise focuses on economic public law and construction law, where she advises public authorities and private sector clients on the awarding and execution of public contracts, such as public procurement contracts, concessions and cooperation agreements. Furthermore, she provides strategic counsel on PPP/DBFM projects, guiding clients through both the negotiation and execution phases, and advises clients on administrative law and the organization of public services and undertakings. She acts regularly before both the Council of State and the general courts in public procurement and economic public law matters. As an expert in public economic law, Lore is regularly asked to speak at seminars and to develop customised training courses. She is also Vice-President of the Public Procurement Law Commission within AIJA (International Association of Young Lawyers).
