Dr. Eveline Ankaert is a counsel in our Employment, Pensions & Benefits practice and a member of Lydian’s Health team.

- Health and well-being at work (including psychosocial risks, harassment, incapacity for work and re-integration processes)
- Occupational accidents (including prevention and support with legal procedures)

- HR related matters in the public sector
Background
When Eveline joined Lydian in February 2012 as a Senior Associate, she brought with her seven years of experience as a PhD researcher and teaching assistant at the Institute for Social Law at the University of Leuven (KU Leuven). Eveline holds a Law degree from the Ghent University. ) Additionally, she obtained the degree of Doctor of Laws at the University of Leuven (KU Leuven) in 2012. Her PhD, entitled “Law enforcement and the medical profession. Evaluation of administrative and disciplinary enforcement measures of healthcare delivery” was published by die Keure in 2013. Eveline was admitted to the Brussels Bar in 2015.
Eveline is also a lecturer and senior researcher at KU Leuven where she teaches Labour Law and Social Enforcement Law to Master's students of Law and Occupational Medicine.
In order to be able to assist clients optimally in the field of health & safety, Eveline completed a level III prevention advisor training in 2021.
Publications and speaking engagements
Eveline is the author of numerous publications on employment and health law, more specifically on occupational accidents. Eveline is also a co-author of SocialEye (an online platform for HR-professionals and experts in social law), she contributes to Kluwer’s annual publication "Praktijkboek Sociale Zekerheid" (Social Security Practice Book) and she is co-author of the well-known monthly newsletter of the Institute for Labour Law at the University of Leuven. In addition, Eveline regularly speaks at internal and external seminars on employment and health law related matters.
