The Internet, webshops, online platforms and social media have created a wide range of opportunities for companies to communicate their brand messages and reach to their target audience. However, this also opened the doors for online IP infringement. Given the increase of online sales of counterfeited goods, the EU legislator decided to intervene the last years. These new legislations bring new measures to assist more effectively IP right holders.
