From September 14th to 16th, 2023, AIJA - International Association of Young Lawyers will host a Public Procurement Seminar, a Transport Law Seminar, and the 13th Annual Arbitration Conference in Athens.
Lore Derdeyn, Counsel in our Public Procurement practice, will be a featured speaker at this event, alongside Anna Zaragoza, (EIT Urban Mobility) and Calvin Calleja (Ganado Advocates), in a session moderated by Caroline De Mulder (Altius). Lore will be sharing her expertise during the session "Drivers & pitfalls when teaming up as a joint venture for a public tender." Her insights will encompass practical experiences and valuable insights drawn from Joint Ventures (JVs) and Public-Private initiatives in public procurement. She will also delve into the lessons learned from private JV bids, offering a unique perspective from both contractor and procuring authority angles.
Furthermore, Marijn De Ruysscher, Counsel within our Commercial & Litigation practice, will participate in the 13th Annual Arbitration Conference and moderate a session focused on arbitration clauses in insurance contracts, exploring the (dis)advantages of using arbitration as a dispute resolution method for insurance disputes, with as speakers Ioannis Avgoustis (Steamship Insurance), Lukas Rusch (Pestalozzi) and Karen Papenfuß (GSK Stockmann).
If you'd like to connect with Lore or Marijn, please feel free to contact them directly.
